Azen Tsang was a Chinese fine artist born in Indonesia under the Dutch colonial rule and later migrated to his homeland China to pursue his artistic dreams. Throughout his life he remained true to his ideal and had left behind a substantial body of paintings--in oil, watercolor, mixed media and traditional Chinese paint brush. Some of those are historical depictions of a bygone era in China; others are reflections of his internal, emotional landscape, full of imagination and fantasy. All are his labor of love. Tsang has dedicated his entire life to art. While his work was never sold for astronomical sums during his lifetime, one can attribute a similar quality to his vision as that of artists who were ahead of their time and never got monetary rewards in proportion to their greatness.
